Like all agencies, AMV BBDO needs to deliver winning pitches. As an agency with global clients, this means needing to understand audiences in key target markets rapidly to inform major pitches happening every week across the business. Multiple pitches per week require getting answers from consumers on key questions about their attitudes and behaviour. Often their insight team needs to turn around data and insights within hours or days. AMV BBDO had previously worked with traditional research agencies who were too slow and inflexible in responding to requests, and too slow to deliver data at the pace required by AMV BBDO’s account leads and strategists.


Focaldata has delivered a two part solution for AMV BDDO that helps them deliver winning insight-backed pitches at rapid pace.

First, our self-serve platform is used directly by AMV BBDO’s insight team to run rapid-turnaround client-grade research themselves. This means that AMV BBDO’s insight team can respond to requests on a Friday from a pitch team, get research launched that afternoon, and then analyse on Monday before the Tuesday pitch. These timelines were not possible with their traditional agency providers — and other self-serve platforms they trialled did not deliver sufficiently robust data.

The second part of our solution is delivered through our data services team who support account leads and strategists directly with multi-market quant research and other more operationally intensive projects — freeing up their insight team to focus on analysis and working directly with pitch teams.
