As part of our continuing 'UK Youth Poll' project with the John Smith Centre and Nationwide Building Society, Focaldata conducted 2,051 quantitative interviews with young people in the UK between 20th February and 1st March 2026, to understand young people's lived experiences and social and political attitudes. Now in its second year, the poll interviewed participants aged 16 to 29, with quotas applied on age, gender, region, education and ethnicity to achieve a nationally representative sample. The sample was then weighted to be representative for the 16–29 UK age group.
